We know that caring for someone with a mental illness can be challenging. It can feel difficult to get the information and support you need.
Rethink Mental Illness was founded by carers almost 50 years ago, and we have continued to provide support to both carers and people living with mental illness ever since. That’s why we’re proud that this year we’re one of the official charity supporters of Carers Week, which takes place 10 -16 June.
We’ll be using the week to celebrate the incredible work that carers do. We also want to make sure that we spread the word about all the ways Rethink Mental Illness can support carers, from our support groups to our advice line.
There are events taking place across the country for Carers Week next week. To find one, or if you would like to find out more about how we can help, check out our online Carers Hub:
Walk and talk for a good cause
Walky Talky is our annual walking fundraiser. It’s a great opportunity to raise money for Rethink Mental Illness by taking part in a group walk. Sign up today and we’ll send you everything you need to take part:
- 5k in Regent’s Park, London on Sunday 8 September at 10am
- 7k in Calke Abbey, Derby on Sunday 22 September at 10am
If you can’t join us for either of these events, but want to help support people with mental illness, why not organise your own at a time and place to suit you? You choose the date, distance and location.
Have you seen our new website?
We’ve updated it and given it a new look to make it easier to use and find all the information and support you need.
Lots of you have took part in sessions to test the content, or posed in our photoshoots. Thank you!
We’d love to hear what you think of the new site.
