YoungMinds Newsletter – July 2021

How will you say #HelloYellow this year?
We all struggle with how we’re feeling sometimes and it’s normal to have ups and downs, but this year might have felt a bit more down than up. In times like these, it’s often the little things that get us through – the morning walks, singing in the shower, the perfect cuppa, that Netflix show that got us all buzzing, the heart-to-heart when you were at your wits’ end.
Saying #HelloYellow this World Mental Health Day is a little thing we can do to make a BIG difference to young people’s mental health. So join thousands of schools, offices and communities across the UK on Friday 8 October by wearing yellow and helping us raise vital funds. Together we can show young people they are not alone with their mental health.

Have you told your MP to support our #FundTheHubs campaign yet?
Last month we launched a new campaign to create a network of early support hubs – places young people can drop in for support with their mental health without an appointment or referral. Over 13,000 people have called on their MP to support the campaign so far. Will you join them in supporting our call?

Need support in dealing with your child’s anger or aggression?

Do you work with young people in Doncaster? Join this free session!

Join us on either Wednesday 21 July, 2 – 5pm, or Tuesday 27 July, 2 – 5pm. The sessions will be co-delivered with the Doncaster Mental Health Participation Champions over Zoom.
